Photo updates

A daily snap so you know they're winning.

The retreat

Half a hectare of Algarve,
shaped around four paws.

An old Portuguese farmhouse, a big fenced garden, and the kind of quiet you only get up in the hills. Not a kennel. Not a cage in sight.

The lawn
2,400 m² of soft grass

The lawn

Half an acre, fully fenced, with shade trees along two sides. Zoomie-certified.

The terrace
Covered, always cool

The terrace

Terracotta tile, arched columns, deep striped cushions. The post-lunch nap venue of choice.

The shady terrace
Cool tiles, soft beds

The shady terrace

A calm covered spot for midday naps, slow stretches, and a reset before the next run on the lawn.

The garden
Flowers, olive, wild grass

The garden

Paths to sniff, a birdbath to guard, geraniums to ignore politely. Dogs welcome in all of it.

A day here

From first sniff
to last yawn.

8:30

Arrival

Sniff inspection at the gate. A proper hello from Lula.

9:30

Morning play

Zoomies on the lawn. Occasional theft of a tennis ball.

12:00

Terrace lunch

Lunch in the shade. Water topped up. One communal sigh.

14:00

Siesta

Striped cushions. Ceiling fan. Deep, deep sleep.

16:30

Garden walk

A loop through the olives and the flower beds.

18:00

Pick-up window

Pick up anytime before 18:00, after a final stretch and goodbye sniff.

The promises

The boring bits,
taken very seriously.

Always supervised

A human is on site, awake, every hour of every day. We never leave a guest alone.

Small groups

Care stays calm and personal, never a crowded kennel. Introductions are gentle.

Fully fenced

The entire 2,400 m² garden is secured. Two gates, both locked, before the lawn.

Vet on call

A trusted local vet, five minutes away, on call for our guests seven days a week.

The ambassadors

Three very
opinionated hosts.

Every guest is welcomed, inspected, and unofficially assigned a buddy from the trio. Here's who's on staff.

Sparky
Head of Guest Relations

Sparky

2 years · Portuguese terrier mix
"Will sit on the cushion you wanted."

Expert welcomer. Has written a thesis on which cushion has the best sun. Gives every new guest a full tour of the terrace, whether they want one or not.

Lula
Head of Security

Lula

6 years · Saint Bernard mix
"Can sleep in 14 different postures."

A 45kg lady with the soul of a cat. Her job is to lie somewhere nearby and make the whole house feel calmer. She is very good at her job.

Splodge
Chief Snack Supervisor

Splodge

6 years · English springer spaniel
"Ball. Ball. Ball. Ball. Ball."

The official welcome committee's athletic wing. Splodge's job is to show new guests where the best grass is, where the best stick is, and where the ball went (usually under the terrace).

The human behind it all

Meet Sophia.

Savannah is run by Sophia, who lives on site with Sparky, Lula, and Splodge and keeps day care intentionally small, calm, and personal.

From the first message to the first pick-up, you deal directly with her. Every new dog starts with a meet-and-greet so everyone can get comfortable before a booking is confirmed.

It is a home setup with proper attention, not a high-volume drop-off service. That is exactly why many dogs settle so well here.
